Corrections. The most useful thing you can send. If a price has moved, a restaurant has closed, a museum has changed its opening day, or a bus route no longer runs the way we describe it, tell us which guide and what you found. Recent first-hand information beats anything we can check from a desk. We update the article and note the change.
Questions about visiting Hanoi. If something on the site is unclear or you cannot find an answer to a practical question, ask. We cannot plan your trip for you, book anything on your behalf, or give visa or immigration advice — for that, go to the Vietnamese embassy or consulate for your country. But if the question is one our guides should already answer and do not, that is useful to know, and it often turns into a new guide.
Press, permissions and partnerships. Requests to quote or reference our work, and enquiries about advertising. Note what we do not do: paid reviews, sponsored placements dressed as editorial, guest posts, or link insertions into existing articles. Those emails get deleted unread, so please save us both the time.
Response times
Most messages get a reply within two to three working days. Corrections are usually acted on faster than they are replied to — if you send one and the article changes before you hear back, that is why.
Hanoi runs on Indochina Time (UTC+7). This site is not edited from Hanoi, so a message sent during a Vietnamese afternoon will most likely be read the following day.

In an emergency in Hanoi
This form is not monitored in real time and is no use to you if something has gone wrong while you are in the city. In Vietnam, dial 113 for police, 114 for fire and 115 for an ambulance. If you are a foreign national in serious difficulty, contact your embassy in Hanoi — most of them are in the Ba Đình district, a few minutes from the Old Quarter. For medical care, Hanoi French Hospital and the Vinmec and Family Medical Practice clinics all deal with international patients and international insurance.
